False Positive

We're taking a break from our...break...and will be playing the Caravan this Friday with the Curbs and Medicated MotherFuckers [w/ part-time F+'er Greg on bass!] Nails!

Last Friday's show at the Caravan was our last show for a while. We're gonna use the break to finish off that pesky CD we've been putting off. How long have we been putting it off? Howzabout this: it's been so long that Rich was wearing parachute pants and a "Frankie says Relax" t-shirt the last time we were working on it--and I don't mean last Tuesday [he wore a "Wham!" shirt and stirrup pants on Tuesday.]

The Dec. 17th show at the Caravan will be our last show for a while. What are we gonna do with the free time? Why, we're gonna use it to pimp out Rich's cherry Ford Pinto! Umm, scratch that--that's a bit of a lie.

Actually, we're gonna use the break to finish writing, recording, and printing up the CD we've been putting off--though wouldn't it be cool if Rich really did have a cherry Ford Pinto? And, wouldn't it be cool if Rich really did think that his Pinto was, like, really, really cool? Well he does! Remember to come out to our Caravan show on the 17th. It'll be your last chance to pester Rich about his Pinto for a while.

Thanks to Boom for letting us play the Cherry Bar & Lounge in SF last night. We took a few pics of basically everything except our set, so if you're interested in what Krog had for dinner after the show, check out the pics. Truly riveting stuff. A quick thanks to everyone who showed up for the Caravan show last Friday. Also, a huge thanks to Greg, who helped us out tremendously by manning the bass duties and bein' an all-around 'RAD' dude while Krog was goofing off.

Thanks to Phil for having us over at the Shady Acres last night. We should have pics and show notes posted within a few days. On a totally different subject, we posted a few more pics from last month's show at Kimo's. Thanks to Jill and Jessica for the pics.

We posted a couple of new recordings on the Downloads page. We're about halfway finished w/ recording, anticipating a release date of late 2004, January 2005 at the latest. We still need a title! A couple of the suggestions we've received: "False Positive Must Be Destroyed!" and "Flee, Puny Humans!"

Special thanks to the Miscreants, Autonomadic, and Potty Mouth Society for dragging their gear to Kimo's on a Sunday night and making some noise w/ us. Also, a big thanks to Boom and Kimo's for putting up w/ us. We'll definitely have to do it again sometime [though maybe on a Friday or Saturday night--just a thought!] Show pics. Show notes.

The Stork Club show in Oakland last night was way cool! We had a way fun time playing at Simon's Birthday party at the Caravan last night. A special thanks to Cheyanne for inviting us over. Thanks also to all the people that showed up--it was *RAD! 06.11.2004 / UPCOMING CARAVAN SHOW
We'll be providing the background noise at a special birthday bash at the Caravan in downtown San Jose on Saturday, June 19th. There will be two bands. The first will probably start at 10ish. We'll probably start at around 11 or 11:30.

06.6.2004 / NEW MP3s POSTED
We posted some brand spankin' new rough mixes of a few tunes from our upcoming CD. In addition to old, decrepit stuff like Taco Bravo and Sit This Out, we've included one of our newer ditties, Super Zombie Speed, a heartfelt, introspective commentary on serial killing zombies roaring around in muscle cars, an important issue we feel very strongly about. 02.23.2004 / SHOW NEWS, ETC.
We had a fun time at The Jury Room in Santa Cruz on Friday, Feb. 20. Though the whole thing was a little last minute, everything turned out surprisingly well. Our van made it over the hill and back w/o a single problem, Mike C accidentally unplugged his pedalboard only once during the entire set, and the Jury Room was way cool and generous w/ the drink tokens. Yay!

Kudos to everybody who turned out for last week's show at the Caravan. Pics should be posted within the next few days. Right now, the only upcoming shows we have scheduled are at the Caravan in April and and a show at Kimo's in San Francisco in May. We'll post more details about upcoming shows as we get 'em.

We'll have a few cover tunes, including covers of the Anti-Nowhere League's 'For You' and Naked Raygun's 'Vanilla Blue' posted by week's end.

Thanks to everyone who turned out for Friday night's show at the Caravan in San Jose. We had a great time playing with two totally ROCKIN' bands, The Miscreants and Invisible Enemies [look out for IE's new CD.]
